Lift & Defibrillator

Lift and Terrace

Our lift is accessed from the “drop off” point at road level (Malpas Road TR1 1SQ)

It is designed specifically for wheelchair use; however, it is also ideal for many other uses, please see check list below.

The lift has a ‘forward drive in” gate that can be operated by any person either in the car lift itself or from road level and landing level. It transports you conveniently onto the main Barton Hall terrace where there is a constant level access to all facilities.

Extra wide patio doors give you immediate access to the building for the elderly and care assistants.
Please note: The Lift is not activated all the time, please let us know when you book, if you require the use of this facility.

Malpas Defibrillator

Malpas is registered under the National Defibrillator Network site “The Circuit” which means that access and information is available to all – especially in advance of your visit to our Village Hall.

The moment someone has a cardiac arrest, the clock starts ticking. Every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chances of survival. But many defibrillators are never used because emergency services don’t know where they are or how to access them.

This is where The Circuit comes in.

the circuit - the national defibrillator network

The Circuit – the national defibrillator network, provides the NHS ambulance services with vital information about defibrillators across the UK so that in those crucial moments after a cardiac arrest, they can be accessed quickly to help save lives.

The Hall Trust organises Free Classes on how to use this vital equipment. If you are interested in joining our next class please contact us with your names.

The unit we use is fully automated – it tells you what to do in an emergency. Anyone can use it!

Help save lives- join us for our next class.

Our Defibrillator is checked and maintained regularly by our own Village Hall Charity Trust and Social Committees.
